Did you know that more and more Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, regardless of their income level? This is largely due to a lack of financial literacy, which can quickly make a person money-poor while trying to keep up with the higher cost of living year after year. Additionally, we are bombarded with advertisements that attempt to influence our sub-conscience to buy things that are “wants” instead of prioritizing things that are “needs”. This leads to irresponsible spending and less money for “needs” and emergencies in one’s pocket. Next time you plan to spend your money, ask yourself if the purchase is a “want“ or a “need,” and remember to practice sound financial practices every day!
